Following a very exciting evening at the Soul Cellar in Southampton the Gallery have been selected as one of last 20 bands in the UK to face legendary Alan Macgee previously from Creation Records and known as the man behind mega bands such Oasis, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream and who still runs the "Death Disco" with appearances from bands like The Libertines, The Killers, BRMC, Kaiser Chiefs, Glasvegas, Razorlight, The Hives, Kasabian, The Darkness, The Foxes among others.The Libertines, The Killers, BRMC, Kaiser Chiefs, Glasvegas, Razorlight, The Hives, Kasabian, The Darkness, The Foxes among others.
The Gallery, by entering the "Alan Mcgees Greasy Lips Club" have proved they are ready for the next level and the crowd at the SouldCellar Southampton had the opportunity to jam to an Excellent line up on Friday 5th March.
The 20 acts will be chosen in two ways, 12 acts will be nominated by The Soul Cellar Collective (Soul Cellar Kev, DJ Hammy and Angry Badger Jules) based on our personal opinions. The remaining 8 slots will be filled via a series of 4 Heats, each heat will see 6 bands play for their chance to be included in the final submissions.
All Heats will take place in March and the winners from each one will be announced at the end of each night.

If you are a solo artist or in a band and you want to be involved, the cut off for applications for the Heats is midday on Wednesday the 24th February.

Each night will have two winners, the first will be decided by an audience vote, the second will be a combination of audience and panel votes.
